Letter dated 27Apr2015

Dear Family and Friends, This week was so fun. The Pictures are of Äldste Ward and me at a Town called Katrineholm, where there is a herd of giant weird statures, us on a hike in Tullinge to find a good spot to do our weekly planning, a Cherry tree in Eskilstuna, and a pine portal outside of Södertälje. If you look at these cities on a map, you can tell we traveled a lot this week. We also Went to Örebro for a district meeting there! So I'm pretty tired after a hectic week, but am invigorated to start up again in a few minutes. I have been thinking a lot lately about how many different situations I have been in and about how I have gotten solutions to those through prayer. And I'd like to name a few: when a friend called while I was serving in Eskilstuna and said that he was in the Woods on the outskirts of a city named Flen which is an hour away from Eskilstuna, and that his girlfriend had run off with threats of suicide, there was nothing I could do except to encourage him to pray. 10 minutes later, after praying, he found his girlfriend. Also in Eskilstuna, at one of the Points of my Life where I have been most tired, Äldste Bybee and I prayed to know what to do, and the answer came to knock doors in a specific area -- the priority three on the list I had thought to do Before praying. And that night was when we found Zohreh and Mahmoud, the latter of whom was baptized. And I thought of when I was a sophomore and prayed to know how to make holy the Sabbath day. The answer was felt to avoid homework on Sundays. Doing that was so hard at first, but SO helpful for me that year! It gave me a regular break from stress and gave me a greater appreciation for Christ's atoning sacrifice. I love prayer so much! It is one of the very greatest gifts God has given us -- to speak regularly with Him. I know that God loves us and that we can have his guidance in our lives through personal revelation and the revelation of prophets. And I am so glad for it! I would encourage you to peruse and ponder 2 Nephi 32 :) I love you all! Love, -- Äldste Daniel Schindler
